EES AND NEW PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

When new programs are being developed, they need to ensure that EES learning outcomes are documented and mapped from the beginning of the development process. For programs that require the demonstration of EES learning outcomes (Ontario College Certificate, Ontario College Diploma, and Ontario College Advanced Diploma) the inclusion of EES learning outcomes is a requirement of successful progression through the approval process overseen by the Curriculum Review Committee (CRC).

Maps showing where EES learning outcomes are to be integrated into courses and where there will be opportunities for culminating performances need to be included before a new program can be approved. There must be at least two culminating performances for each EES learning outcome.

Discussion of Teach, Assess, and Culminating Performance (Adobe Acrobat File): This document can be used as a reference tool when preparing an EES Map by Program Level. Further definition of the terms should enable an easier identification of the opportunities for the demonstration of the outcomes.

In addition to documents provided by the Curriculum Review Committee (CRC), it is the leveled outcomes that are the most useful resource during the development of new programs.

The Curriculum Review Committee (CRC), or your School EES representative can help ensure that the correct outcomes from the list below are being used:

Levelled EES learning outcomes for an Ontario College Certificate (Adobe Acrobat File)
Levelled EES learning outcomes for an Ontario College Diploma (Adobe Acrobat File)
Levelled EES learning outcomes for an Ontario College Advanced Diploma (Adobe Acrobat File)
