Sept 09/10 - $10 million Renewal for Algonquin's Perth Campus

The picturesque town of Perth is going to become a little greener in 2011 when Algonquin College opens a new main building on the Perth Campus which will not only accommodate 40 per cent more students, but it is designed to become the town's most sustainable building.

The $36-million relocation of Algonquin College's Pembroke campus is expected to kick-start the economically suffering area, say several officials associated with the project.

However, the big shock for Algonquin was simultaneously having to add a new building to its Perth location – at a cost of $8 million to $10 million.
