Experience

Scott Warrick is a full-time professor and chef with the School of Hospitality. He is also an organizer for many of the College’s food-related special events. He enjoys providing volunteer support for local charities and offering culinary workshops for the College’s special needs students who are interested in learning about the culinary field and cooking.

A Red Seal Chef, Scott is a member of the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks and holds his Canadian Culinary Certification.

A recipient of the College’s President’s Star Award and the Diane Bloor Faculty Award in recognition of teaching excellence, Scott founded the College’s Semester Abroad program for Culinary Program students, organizing excursions for them to Italy, Montenegro, Mexico and Costa Rica.

Outside of the College, Scott works as a Food Service Consultant and has provided food stylist services to McCain International Foods, Loblaw’s and the LCBO. He has served as Executive Chef and food consultant to Ottawa Bluesfest, Culinary Advisor for the Ottawa Wine & Food Show, and as a board member for Just Food.

Scott started his career with the Four Seasons Hotel group, and before joining Algonquin College he worked as a Chef for the House of Commons.
