The ALGONQUIN COLLEGE BURSARIES which are specifically for programs in the

This bursary is awarded to a student in the Hospitality Management – Hotel and Restaurant program. The student may apply after 2nd level. Student must complete the College financial needs assessment form. The student will also have maintained a GPA of 3.0. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * COLIO ESTATE WINES-GIRLS HELPING GIRLS BURSARY Awarded to a student in the Hospitality Management program during their 3rd semester who can demonstrate financial need. ED IRELAND HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM BURSARY Awarded to a student enrolled in any full-time program in the school of Hospitality and Tourism going into the 2nd year who can demonstrate financial need. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * GAY COOK BURSARY Awarded to students registered in the Culinary Management program during their 3rd or 4th semester who can demonstrate financial need. Special consideration will be given to students who have completed the General Arts and Science Food and Wine course and have entered the 3rd or 4th semester of the Culinary Management program. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * GM'S MEMORIAL AWARD HARRY REECE SPIRIT OF LIFE BURSARY This award is given to a 1st year student returning to Level 3 of the Hospitality Management-Hotel program who has achieved a grade point average of 3.0, communicates well with and listens to others and is involved in community activities. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * KIWANIAN ALEX DAYTON SENIORS ACTIVITY CENTRE BURSARY Awarded to one student registered in the Hotel or Restaurant Management program and Travel and Tourism program upon completion of the 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * KRISS GOODANETZ BURSARY To be awarded to a student(s) registered in the Hospitality Management-Hotel and Restaurant Management program upon completion of the 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need. Special consideration given to students who have already completed the sommelier program or are currently taking the program. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * KURT O WALDELE BURSARY Awarded to a student registered in the Culinary Skills-Chef Training program during 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need.*. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * MKI TRAVEL AND HOSPITALITY BURSARY MOE ATALLAH HOSPITALITY BURSARIES (1) Presented to a student(s) registered in the Chef Training program upon completion of 1st semester who demonstrates a passion for the industry, punctuality, strong interpersonal and communication skills and shows financial need. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * OTTAWA GATINEAU HOTEL ASSOCIATION BURSARY To be awarded to a student(s) registered in the Hospitality Management-Hotel and Restaurant Management program upon completion of the 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need. The recipient should also be hotel oriented and have excellence customer service skills. Deadline: October 7, 2011. * OTTAWA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION BURSARIES (1)Presented to a student(s) registered in the Chef Training program upon completion of 1st semester who demonstrates a passion for the industry, punctuality, strong interpersonal and communication skills and shows financial need.
