Awarded to a first-year student during their 2nd  semester of the Public Relations program who can demonstrate financial need.  Recipient must demonstrate a passion to follow a career in their field of study as well as have enthusiastically participated in the PR program and annual fundraising program. Awarded to a first-year student in the Broadcasting Television program upon completion of second semester who demonstrates strong creativity, a passion for the industry and financial need.  Deadline:  January 27, 2012.  (MEDIA).  

DOUG MURRAY LIFE BURSARY
Awarded to second and third year student registered in the BAA - Interior Design program, who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 'B' grade point average.  Applicants must submit an essay of approximately 600 word (double spaced) with a specific topic description available from the school contact.  Deadline:  February 17, 2012. HARVEY AND LOUISE GLATT BROADCAST RADIO BURSARY

Awarded to a second-year student in the Broadcasting Radio program during fourth-semester who can demonstrate financial need.  The recipient should also have a passion for radio broadcasting and a demonstrated talent in a particular discipline of radio.  Deadline: January 27, 2012. (MEDIA)  

HERBERT S. RANSOM MEMORIAL BURSARY
Awarded in the fall to 2nd year returning Horticulture Technician student who demonstrates financial need, a minimum 'B' grade point average and exhibits the best overall combination of leadership and practical skills in the field of horticulture.  Deadline: October 11, 2011.  (DESIGN)

JAMES ZAGON MEMORIAL BURSARY

Awarded to a first year Photography student who demonstrates financial need and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.7. Recipient must be a returning student. Funds will be applied as a credit to 3rd semester tuition.  Deadline: January 27, 2012.  (MEDIA)  

JON CASSAR BURSARY

Awarded to a first-year student(s) enrolled in the Broadcasting Television program during 2nd semester.  Who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum ‘B’ average. This bursary was created in recognition of former Algonquin graduate and Emmy Award winning director and producer, Jon Cassar. Deadline: January 27, 2012.  (MEDIA)

Awarded to a first-year student in the Professional Writing program during the 2nd semester who demonstrates a minimum ‘B’ average and financial need.  Additional consideration given to resident of the City of Ottawa. *Deadline:  April 6, 2012. (MEDIA)

LENORE P. BUNESS ALGONQUIN PUBLISHING CENTRE BURSARY

Awarded to a first-year student(s) enrolled in the Advertising program during 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need. Student must have a passion to work in the media sector, display team spirit and strong communication skills. Deadline: February 17, 2012.  (MEDIA)

Awarded to a student in Print Media program enrolled in the School of Media and Design after second semester, minimum 'B' average.  Deadline: April 27, 2012. (DESIGN)

PETER WINTONICK BURSARY

Awarded to a first-year student(s) registered in the Scriptwriting program during 2nd semester who can demonstrate financial need. Additional consideration given to students with First Nation heritage  designation as well as being able to demonstrate a particular inclination to documentary and/or new media in the program. * Deadline: January 27, 2012. Awarded to a 2nd year Public Relations student who has volunteered for public relations with a non-profit organization or with a professional communication association.  Student must demonstrate financial need.  *Deadline: February 17, 2012. (MEDIA)

TALLYHO PUBLIC RELATIONS BURSARY
