For further information and/or application for bursaries listed in this section please contact the individual organization.  It may take two to three months to process a request and there may be deadlines.

This list is subject to revision.  There may be other external bursaries, therefore this list should not be considered exhaustive. Most of these bursaries have deadlines for application.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS  (KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIPS  PROGRAM).  The Knights of Columbus awards twelve Fourth Degree Pro Deo and Pro Patria (Canada) Scholarships annually to Canadian students entering the first year of university student leading to a baccalaureate degree at college or universities in Canada.  An applicant must be a member in good standing in a Canadian council of the Knights of Columbus or the son or the daughter of such a member or deceased member.  The scholarship of $1,500 each are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and are renewable each year of undergraduate study, pending satisfactory academic performance, to a total of four years.Deadline for submission is May 1 of each year.  Canadian Scholarship Committee, Knights of Columbus,  P.O. P.E.O. SISTERHOOD
“P.E.O. works with the Financial Aid office regarding students suitability for a Grant and that the typical recipient it a mature women who has dependants and has to return to school in order to support herself and her dependants.”

Grants and loans available to Canadian women who are registered and who will complete their studies within 24 months.  Grant applicants must have been non-students for at least two years.  It takes 10 to 12 weeks to process and application.
