On-Line Fee Deferment - LINK to apply through ACSIS
On-Line Fee Deferment Process - OSAP eligible students only
1) To apply for a fee deferment you must have an acceptable admission status or have a valid returning student status from the College. If you do not know your status contact the Admissions/Registrar's Office at (613) 727-0002. E-mail: AskAlgonquin@algonquincollege.com.
2) You must have applied on-line for OSAP funding to the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities - OSAP website link. An OSAP application is submitted once per College academic year.
3) You must have submitted your signed official OSAP Declaration and Signature Page(s) to the Financial Aid Office at Algonquin College. These OSAP pages may also be required for a spouse or parents, if applicable.
Note:
- Please allow up to 48 hours to process OSAP Declaration/Signature pages submitted to Financial Aid before you apply for an on-line fee deferment.
- Fee deferments at Algonquin College must be obtained each term. |

Manual Fee Deferment Process - note 1) and 2) which follow -
1) Students from Canadian provinces or territories outside of Ontario who received official confirmation of eligibility for provincial government student financial assistance are eligible to apply for a manual fee deferment.
and
2) OSAP eligible students who have tried to apply for an on-line fee deferment through ACSIS but were not successful may apply for approval of a manual fee deferment. Please note the following:
a) You must have applied on-line for OSAP funding to the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities - (OSAP website link) or have submitted a completed OSAP booklet application directly to Financial Aid.
b) If you applied on-line for OSAP funding you must submit your signed official OSAP Declaration and Signatures Pages + required documentation to Financial Aid prior to requesting a manual fee deferment. Where applicable, OSAP Declaration and Signature Pages may also be required for a spouse or parents.
c) If you apply for OSAP funding with the Booklet application you must submit your completed OSAP application + required documentation directly to Financial Aid before requesting approval for a manual fee deferment.
To Apply for a Manual Fee Deferment:
1) A paper application form can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office or you can download a pdf copy from this link. Please submit your completed paper application form, as soon as possible, directly to Financial Aid for processing.
2) The amount of your confirmed government funding (i.e. OSAP) each term must be sufficient to cover the amount of your fee deferment.
3) Fee deferments at Algonquin College must be obtained each term.

Deferment Administrative Fee:
A non-refundable $20 administrative fee (for a processed fee deferment) is added to your fees account each applicable term. This $20 fee is paid along with your tuition fees from your OSAP or out-of-province funding.
Reminder: Please pick up and process your student loan documents in the Financial Aid Office, as soon as possible, after classes have started for the term.
Students Not Eligible for a Fee Deferment: Students entering the third term of a 52-week program who received all of their OSAP funding in the first and second terms are not eligible for a fee deferment (through the Financial Aid Office) for their third term (in the same academic year).
Fees Due Dates
Tuition fee payment deadline dates apply each term:
Fall term - July 15th
Winter term - November 15th
Spring term - April 1st
Late Fee Deferment or Payment: An on-line fee deferment processed through ACSIS or with a paper application form, received by Financial Aid after the applicable Fees Due Date deadline may be subject to late penalty fees.
Account Balance - You can check your fees balance, at any time, through ACSIS under the menu item - Account Balance. If you have concerns about late fees added to your fees account please contact the Registrar's Office at Algonquin College at this link .
