| OSAP Information |
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is intended as a supplement toward the costs of your education while attending college. You will need a VOID CHEQUE from your personal chequing or savings account when you take your OSAP documents to a Canada Post Office to be processed. You must also be prepared to sign an official declaration confirming the accurate gross amount of your Summer earnings when starting in the Fall term (or for the 16 weeks prior to your study period start date if starting in the Winter/Spring terms). Students completing high school in June use gross earnings for eight weeks of the July and August period prior to a Fall term start date. TO APPLY FOR OSAPNEW and RETURNING STUDENTS: Fall 2008 - Winter 2009 - Spring 2009 Start Dates Use the on-line website at http://osap.gov.on.ca for 2008-2009 year applications. Apply early. You do not have to wait for a reply about admission to college or university to apply for OSAP. Most libraries and educational institutions have computers with Internet connections for public use. Note that 95% of OSAP applications are submitted on-line. When available a paper application can be downloaded from the OSAP website. There is a $10. fee to submit a paper application. RETURNING STUDENTS: 2008 - 2009 - Apply as a returning student on-line only. There is no paper renewal application form. Contact us if you have any questions. |
