ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AWARD
This award is granted to a graduate who exemplified the greatest concern for the Algonquin College community while at the College.
ANGUS CAMPBELL SCHOLARSHIP
This is to be awarded to two students entering the second year of a post-secondary program, or the third level of a non-semestered diploma program. The sum of $150. each will be awarded to the applicants who have demonstrated academic promise and financial need.
ANNUAL AWARD for EXCELLENCE
This award is granted by the College to a graduating student who has combined outstanding scholastic achievement with demonstrated leadership ability and community participation.
CFDC SCHOLARSHIP
This $500. bursary is available to one student registered in one of the following programs: Business, Outdoor Adventure or Adventure Naturalist. The recipient will be pursuing a career in entrepreneurship and business in Renfrew County, and demonstrates financial need as well as good academic progress.
DR. TASKER - PEMBROKE ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Two $500. scholarships are awarded to full-time, first-year students registered in a post-secondary program who attended one of the following Pembroke area high schools:
Bishop Smith Catholic High School
Ecole secondaire catholique Jeanne Lajoie,
Dr. Wilbert Keon High School (St. Alphonsus High School)
Fellowes High School
The first $500. scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate from a full-time/day-time program.
The second $500. scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate from a program external to a full-time/day-time program who completed requirements for a high school graduation diploma by a provider external to the day-time program, such as, correspondence, night school, summer school, adult school, internet, etc.
WOMEN'S INITIATIVE NETWORK AWARD
This bursary is awarded annually to a woman entering the second term of a post-secondary program at Algonquin College, Pembroke Campus, after being absent from formal studies or the workforce for several years. An award of $600. will be awarded to the applicant who has demonstrated both academic promise and financial need.

BUSINESS PROGRAM
CO-OPERATORS DEAN BURCHART and ASSOCIATES INC. AWARD
This award is granted to the graduate of the Business Program who has achieved the highest academic standing over the length of the program.
DEAN-SINCLAIR CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS' AWARD of ACCOUNTING and
SMALL BUSINESS FINANCE
This award is granted to the graduate of the Business Program who has achieved the highest level of proficiency in accounting and small business finance.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT BURSARY AWARD
This bursary is given to a graduating student in the Business Program who achieves excellence in business management principles and in the development of a comprehensive business plan.
TD CANADA TRUST (PEMBROKE) AWARD of LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
This award is granted to the graduate of the Business Program who has combined outstanding academic achievement with demonstrated leadership ability and communication skills.
FORESTRY PROGRAM
ALGONQUIN SECTION of the Canadian Institute of Forestry Award
This award is presented to the student who has the highest academic standing at the end of the first term of the Forestry Technician program.
CANADIAN INSTITUTE of FORESTRY GOLD MEDAL AWARD
This award is presented annually to a graduating student of the Forestry Technician Program for outstanding scholarship, sports and citizenship throughout the program.
JAMES CROLL MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is presented to the Forestry Technician student who has been exemplary in his/her environmental awareness, leadership abilities, field work skills, and contribution to student life.
KEITH HAROLD WRIGHT MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is granted to a Forestry Technician graduate who has been exemplary in his/her safe work habits and has demonstrated a potential for leadership in the field and classroom
KIWANIS AWARDS
A scholarship of $500. will be awarded to a graduating student of the Forestry Technician program who has demonstrated excellence in academic achievement.
SMURFIT-STONE CONTAINER (CANADA) INC AWARD
This award is granted to the graduate in the Forestry Technician program who, through his/her examinations, reports and field work, proves to be the best all-around student in his/her class.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION - EXECUTIVE PROGRAM

This award is presented to the graduating student of the Office Administration - Executive program who achieved high academic standing and has demonstrated the ability to apply his or her knowledge to practical situations in a professional manner.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION - EXECUTIVE PROGRAM AWARD
This award is presented to the graduate of the Office Administration - Executive Program who has continually demonstrated cooperation and helpfulness in his/her interaction with others. The winner is chosen by his/her classmates.
SCOTT ROSIEN and DEMPSEY CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS AWARD
This award is granted to the outstanding student in Accounting in the Office
Administration - Executive program.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE and OUTDOOR ADVENTURE NATURALIST PROGRAMS

These awards are granted to graduates of the Outdoor Adventure and Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Program who have combined outstanding academic achievement with demonstrated leadership quality and communication skills.
WILDERNESS TOURS AWARDS of EXCELLENCE
These awards are granted to graduates of the Outdoor Adventure and Outdoor Adventure Naturalist programs who have demonstrated outstanding proficiency leadership in the practical skills component of their program.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM
CHILDREN'S GARDEN NURSERY SCHOOL LITERARY AWARD
This award is presented to the graduate of the Early Childhood Education Program, selected by his/her peers, who has demonstrated an appreciation of children's literature and an aptitude for creativity involving young children in a rich work of literature.
RENFREW COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM
DIRECTOR'S AWARD
This award is presented to a a graduate of the Early Childhood Education program, selected by his or her peers, who has demonstrated an exemplary sense of compassion towards children and their families, co-workers and other professionals in the community.
WISE OWL DAY CARE AWARD
This award is presented to a graduate of the Early Childhood Education program, selected by his or her peers, who has exemplified professionalism. He or she has done so by maintaining confidentiality, accepting children, families, peers and staff in a non-judgemental manner, and having a genuine respect for uniqueness of families and individuals.
GENERAL ARTS and SCIENCE PROGRAM
FRANK HAVEY MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is presented to a graduate who has been exemplary in his/her performance in the General Arts and Science Program, combining high academic standing with a positive contribution to class and college environment.
PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER PROGRAM
PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER AWARD
This award is presented to a graduate of the Personal Support Worker full-time program who has demonstrated a high level of academic and clinical achievement.
POLICE FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM
POLICE FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM AWARD
This award is presented to a graduate of the Police Foundations program who has demonstrated the most improvement in the areas of personal health and fitness, academic studies and community service commitment over the four terms of the program.
ROY C. REICHE AWARD
This award is presented to an honours graduate of the Police Foundations program who has achieved the highest academic standing over the four terms of the program.
PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM
DR. L. G. REID SCHOLARSHIP
This award is presented to a Practical Nursing student entering the second year of the Practical Nursing program. The student, selected by faculty, shall have demonstrated a high level of clinical and academic performance and financial need.
L.A. NIENKIRCHEN AWARD
The L.A. Nienkirchen Award is presented annually at graduation to a Practical Nursing graduate who has demonstrated an interest in caring for older adults in the community and has a strong academic record.
RPNAO AWARD for STUDENT EXCELLENCE
This award is presented to a a graduate of the Practical Nursing program who demonstrates strong leadership ability, excellent academic practice, professional and personal growth and an understanding of supporting their professional affiliation.
SAM and ROSE COOPER MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is presented to two first-year Practical Nursing students who have demonstrated overall general proficiency and achievement.
SOCIAL SERVICE WORKER PROGRAM
CATHY PERRY MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is presented to a graduate of the Social Service Worker Program who has been identified by peers as someone who repeatedly demonstrates cooperation and helpfulness in his/her interaction with others.
GRADUATING SOCIAL SERVICE WORKER CLASS LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is presented to a a graduate of the Social Service Worker Program who has consistently demonstrated a high level of leadership.
W. T. "ELDON" CRAIG AWARD
The W. T. '"Eldon" Craig Award shall be awarded every second year at graduation to the best all-round graduate of the Social Service Worker Program. |
