Terms & Conditions

  1. Meal Plans are only valid at Ottawa Campus in participating food service locations.
  2. The Campus and One or Two Term Meal Plans can only be used to purchase food and beverage items.
  3. The Light, Regular, and Premium One or Two Term Meal Plans can save you up to 13% on your meal purchases at the cash. Campus Meal Plans can save you up to 5% on your meal purchases at the cash. Your account may be topped up at any time. It is recommended that you add money to your AC Cash for your toiletries, laundry, vending, and more.
  4. All Meal Plans are only redeemable by the holder of the AC Card. The AC Card must be present to complete a transaction at the cash. If the AC Card is not present at the cash, the card holder will have to use a different form of payment to complete the transaction.
  5. Damaged or lost cards AC Cards can be replaced for an administrative cost of $20.00. You are responsible for any purchases made before the card is reported missing.
  6. Dates
    • 2024-2025 – The Fall One Term Meal Plan for 2024/2025 is effective September 3, 2024 – December 16, 2024. The Two Term Meal Plan is effective September 3, 2024 – April 22, 2025 (excluding during the College holiday closure from December 20, 2024 – January 2, 2024). The Winter One Term Meal Plan for 2024/2025 is effective January 2, 2024 – April 22, 2025.
    • 2023-2024 – The Fall One Term Meal Plan for 2023/2024 is effective September 2, 2023 – December 19, 2023. The Two Term Meal Plan is effective September 2, 2023 – April 23, 2024 (excluding during the College holiday closure from December 22, 2023 – January 2, 2024). The Winter One Term Meal Plan for 2023/2024 is effective January 3, 2024 – April 20, 2024.
  7. Meal Plans are non-transferable to other students.
  8. One and Two Term Meal Plans require a Minimum Usage. Please see here for Minimum Usage amounts and deadlines for One and Two Term Meal Plans. Campus Meal Plans do not require any Minimum Usage.
  9. Meal Plan refunds are assessed based on the specific meal plan purchased. Each meal plan refund request will be individually assessed, One and Two Term Meal Plans are assessed based on a confirmed departure date from the Algonquin College Residence. If a Meal Plan refund is available, an administrative fee of $50 will be levied.
