A donor may wish to direct his/her gift to an existing endowed bursary or scholarship or may wish to establish a new named bursary or scholarship.

Endowed Bursary

At this time, and only until March 31, 2012, the government of Ontario has provided each College with a ceiling of a 1:1 match through their Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS).  The Foundation is now fund raising for endowed gifts to meet this ceiling.  The matching program is only applicable to endowed gifts with a minimum of ($6,250).

Endowed Scholarship

In order to establish an endowed scholarship you must have a minimum gift of ($12,500).  The government of Ontario does not match any funds towards scholarships not meeting financial criteria through their OTSS program.

Disbursement of Endowed Funds

Approximately 4% of endowed funds are disbursed annually.  Foundation endowed donations are transferred to the College Endowment Fund and managed according to the Investment Guidelines by a professional fund manager.  Donations may be added to at any time.
