Algonquin College Student Information System (ACSIS)

ACSIS represents an online version of the Registrar’s Office. You will log in to ACSIS using the student number provided in your welcome email. Within ACSIS you can update your personal information, retrieve your network ID and password, order transcripts, download tax receipts, view your final grades and more.

Timetable

It is important to check your timetable on ACSIS prior to attending your first class to obtain your classroom number. This tool is available under Courses on the left-hand toolbar.

Academic Planner

If you are following a program of study, the Academic Planner allows you to declare into your program to help you plan your program progression. The Academic Planner outlines successfully completed courses to date, as well as courses that need to be completed in order to meet your graduation requirements. The tool is available on ACSIS, located under ‘Part-time Student’ on the left-hand toolbar.

Textbooks

Many courses require textbooks and/or additional software. To determine the resources required for your courses, please visit Connections – The Campus Store and use the Textbook Search to confirm the required resources for your course(s). If you are purchasing an eText or a used textbook, there are a few things to consider.

For questions or concerns related to course resources, please connect with your instructor at the beginning of your course.

Logging in to your Courses

Some of our courses take place over a single weekend and do not include an online component. Students in these courses will not be required to log in to AC Brightspace. Your instructor will confirm if your course is available on AC Brightspace on the first day of classes.

Network Account

To access courses on AC Brightspace, you will first need to retrieve your network account credentials from your ACSIS account. To log in to ACSIS, you will require your student number that was provided in your welcome email.

  1. Log in to ACSIS using your student number.
  2. Select “Network Account Info” from the left toolbar under ACCOUNT. Here you’ll find your User ID and password. These login credentials are required to access AC Brightspace, your Algonquin Live email account, the Digital Resource Portal, and more.

All communication within AC Brightspace will be sent to your Algonquin Live email account only. You should check your student email daily and consider connecting your Algonquin Live email to your iPhone or Android device.

For questions related to logging in and viewing courses, please contact the ITS Support Desk at (613) 727-4723 ext-5555.

Student Support and Client Services

Instructor

Each course is taught by an instructor. As you work through the course materials, your instructor will engage with you during class time and assist you by providing subject-matter expertise, answering course content questions, grading, and providing feedback on assignments. The instructor is a key person to contact if you require any assistance with your course. The contact information for instructors can be found within each course.

Program Coordinator

The primary function of your Program Coordinator is to assist you with academic and administrative issues related to the program. Program Coordinators communicate with you by email, phone, or in person (where appropriate). Exploring learning pathways, responding to concerns, clarifying College/program policies, and supporting learning are areas that your Program Coordinator can assist you with.

Program Support

Your Program Support can assist you with course or program administrative matters such as grades, booking makeup exams, accessing your timetable, re-directing you to the appropriate person, etc. They can also help you with non-academic matters such as your program planning and progression through the program

Please refer to our contact page to locate contact details.
