ENL1726 Artistic Expression: A Canadian Exploration

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to expand their understanding of artistic expression as an important personal and social life force.  Through in-depth study of an established Canadian artist, students explore the artist's perceptions of the world and develop their own appreciation of aesthetic values.  By reading, discussing and viewing the work of well-known artists, students will enhance their own cultural and self awareness.  The course culminates with the shared  examination of specific works of art and a journal of findings.
