Can I Take General Education Electives Listed for Past or Upcoming Levels of My Program?

Yes. If you wish to catch up or reach ahead, you can register for a general education elective for the Spring 2012 term beginning April 30, 2012.

Step 1 : Determine the General Education Requirements For Your Program

Consult your program coordinator, your school general education representative or the general education office in C135 Woodroffe to determine the general education requirements for your program and the program version (start date) and level. Only scheduled offerings for this semester are posted to the general education website.

Step 2: Register For Your Elective

If you are attending school on a full-time basis in a given semester, you may register in a General Education Online Elective, over and above your regular program of study and with the approval of your program coordinator, beginning April 30, 2012 provided there is space available. You may register in your elective at your departmental office once you have paid your tuition fees or have made alternate arrangements. There is no additional cost for the course.

If you are not attending school on a full-time basis in a given semester, you may register in a General Education Online Elective beginning April 30, 2012 provided there is space available. You must register as a part-time student at the Registrar's Office. Regular part-time fees apply.

Some students may want to take the General Education Elective that meets their program goal requirements through Distance Education.
