How to Select

Students may add their General Education Elective from December 7, 2008 to January 5, 2009 by logging into ACSIS and clicking on the “Drop/Add/Transfer” button that appears under the “Courses” menu item.

Your program manager has chosen general education electives for your program to meet Ministry guidelines and College policies.

You need to complete your general education elective(s) successfully in order to graduate from your program.

To be successful in your general education electives:

Step 1 : Explore Your Options
Visit our "What General Education Electives Do I Need To Take?" page.

Choose your program level and read descriptions or course outlines of the electives available to you.

Step 2: Pay Your Tuition Fees
Go to https://acsis.algonquincollege.com. Follow the instructions to log on. Choose the link to “Pay your fees”.

Note: The tuition fee deadline, without late payment penalty, is November 15, 2008.

In some cases, it may be possible to receive an extension to the tuition fee deadline. Find out more about fee deferments.

Step 3: Make Your Elective Selection

Go to https://acsis.algonquincollege.com

After paying your fees or making alternate arrangements, choose the link "Login to Select your General Education Electives".

From the electives on the screen, choose three electives in order of preference. Click "Submit Preferences".

Step 4: Start Your General Education Elective

Start your General Education elective during the first week of classes and participate regularly each week of the semester.
