Almost everyone has heard about climate change by now. With all the talk about big SUV’s and polluting industries contributing to global warming, sometimes it’s easy to forget that energy generation and consumption impact greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution too.

Algonquin is serious about environmental issues. Across Canada, post-secondary institutions like Algonquin are working towards energy conservation by implementing operational changes that reduce energy use. But that is only part of the solution. An energy-efficient light bulb is a start, but it won’t do much good if it’s left on 24 hours a day!
