Would you like to receive feedback on your online or hybrid course? Consider participating in this new opportunity to have your course reviewed by the Hybrid and Online Quality Assurance Standards (HOQAS) reviewers, using Quality Matters (QM) as a best-practice framework.

Algonquin has adapted QM for its approach to continuous improvement for online and hybrid courses. QM is a set of standards based on current literature, best practices, and international standards for course design. These standards can be used as a framework to design, revise and improve online and hybrid courses.

Algonquin HOQAS reviewers, who have completed QM training, provide feedback on hybrid and online courses according to an adapted QM Rubric. This feedback is then used to implement improvement changes in a variety of courses across the college, during each academic area’s regular improvement time frame. The goal of Algonquin’s Quality Review process is to review at least 300 hybrid and online courses in the year 2014-15 in order to ensure continuous improvement.
