Family Care Leave
For Academic employees, in each year, the College shall grant to each employee up to five (5) days of leave to care for members of the employee’s immediate family when they are ill. An immediate family member includes the employee’s:
- Spouse or common-law spouse residing with the employee
- Dependent children (including children of legal or common-law spouse)
- Parents (including step-parents or foster parents).
These days, when taken, are deducted from the employee’s annual sick leave allotment.
