Memorandum: Change to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider

 

We would like to inform you that our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider, EAPlus, is no longer in operation, and therefore, will no longer be able to provide service for the employees and immediate family members of Algonquin College. 

 

Effective May 16, 2006, we have commissioned the services of WarrenShepell to provide their professional counselling, support and information services for all of our employees and their immediate family members. 

 

Professional, confidential support is offered through WarrenShepell 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling the following number(s):

WarrenShepell has been a leading Canadian EAP provider for over twenty five years and their wide range of services has proven to be effective in assisting employees or their family members when the need arises.  The counselors are highly trained and experienced across a broad range of personal and work-related concerns.   A counsellor can assist you or a family member with any problem or concern that may be troubling you.

 

The fee for the program has been paid for in advance by Algonquin College.  The program provides short-term counselling related to each concern in any given year, at no cost to you or your family member.  Should longer-term or specialized counselling be required, your WarrenShepell counsellor will make a referral to appropriate professionals and agencies in the community.  The fees for such referral services are the responsibility of the employee or family member.  However, some of these services may be covered by your provincial health plan or your extended benefits plan.

 

Confidentiality and privacy are assured to each employee or family member who uses the counselling service.  Contact is made directly to WarrenShepell Consultants, and no information on any individual situation comes back to the College.
