| Enrolment in College Courses |
College employees are entitled to take Continuing Education courses at the reduced tuition rate of $20 per course, plus material fees.
In order for full-time employees to qualify they must:
Full-time employees may go directly to the Registrar's Office to register (Room C150) and must supply their staff photo ID card. Some restrictions apply, and are listed below.
In order for part-time employees to qualify they must:
- Have a minimum of 26 weeks completed service in the past 3 years
- Be actively at work at the time they register for the course(s)
- If you are eligible, or have questions about your eligibility, please contact Ruben Sanchez in Human Resources Services. Once your eligibility is confirmed an email is sent to the Registrar's Office, where it will be kept on file until such time that you register. Registration must be done in person (Room C150) and you must bring photo ID.
Please note that persons employed as students or contractors are not eligible to take courses at the staff rate.
- Employees may register for a credit course at any time, however, must wait to register until 4pm on the Thursday before the first day of class if their course is a non-credit course. In The Source catalogue, a credit course is designated with one asterisk ( * ) and a non-credit course is designated by two asterisks ( ** ). In addition, some courses may be exempt entirely from this program, including course sections that are part of a full-time program and fast-track courses.
- The cost of supplies and books must be paid by the employee. An additional fee of $50 is applicable to all Distance Education courses.
- Please contact the Registrar's Office for further information about specific courses.
