Algonquin College recognizes that personal difficulties experienced by an employee may have serious effects on their health, well-being, personal life, and their involvement and performance in the workplace. The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP) has been developed to help you and your family with personal concerns, tensions and stress before they lead to more serious problems. Effective May 16, 2006 the College has commissioned the services of Shepell·fgi to provide their professional counselling, support and information services for all of our full-time employees and their immediate family members. We’ve partnered with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to put together an online interactive wellness site (microsite) that offers resources and tools to help you get on a path to better physical, emotional and mental health at work. Whether you’re looking for simple ideas to integrate healthier habits on the job, or want to overhaul the way you handle work challenges, this site can help restore your career composure and create a healthier you! Life Changes Microsite from Shepell-fgi(Posted 8-January-2008) As part of our ongoing commitment to providing health and productivity solutions to our customers and their employees, I’d like to share with you details around our latest ‘Microsite’.
It’s called ‘Channeling Change: Healthy Hints at Every Life Stage’ and it is intended to support employees as they go through inevitable life changes. As many people look forward to the New Year as a new beginning or a fresh start, Channeling Change will provide important information on how employees can manage change effectively.
