| Lead Hand Premium |
As per Article 7.6.1 of the Support Staff Collective Agreement, the College may temporarily assign a "Lead Hand" designation to an employee within a work group. A Lead Hand is not a supervisory function, but rather acts as a distributor and coordinator of existing work. Due consideration is given to an employee's ability, qualifications, and seniority. When Lead Hand has been temporarily assigned, the employee shall receive $0.75 per hour in addition to their current hourly wage for all hours worked under such an assignment. The premium does not form part of the employee's hourly rate for the purposes of calculating overtime or other premium pay. For further information on Lead Hand Premium, please contact Liz Smid. |
