READ Project
The READ project in Sichuan Province, China has partnered Algonquin College with the Sichuan Ganzi College of Nationalities to develop demand-driven training in the area of tourism and hospitality. Algonquin and the partner college developed four new tourism and hospitality skills training programs that respond to local employer demands for skilled human resources. Algonquin faculty from the Pembroke Campus and the School of Hospitality and Tourism were instrumental in providing technology and knowledge transfer to the partner college in Sichuan. The five year project also assisted the partner college to establish community and industry linkages. The project was administered by the ACCC and funded by CIDA.
