Algonquin College-Kuwait.

Dr. Kent MacDonald. President of Algonquin College and Mr. Hamed Al Bader, Chairman of Orient Education Services, Kuwait, signed an MOU on October 18th at Woodroffe Campus to establish Algonquin College-Kuwait. Attendees from Kuwait were Mr. Saoud Jafar, Chairman AC-Kuwait; Mr. Fahad Al Naser, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of Kuwait; Mr. Anas AlSaloum, First Secretary, Embassy of Kuwait; and Mr. Damien Dunne, Project Manager. The Vice President Academic, Claude Brule, IEC Director Ernest Mulvey, Peter Fortura, Chris Janzen, Andy Pridham, Misheck Mwaba, Silvia Garcia, Basam Al Hasoo, John Dawley, and June Rossolatos from Algonquin College also attended the ceremony.

The programs to be offered at the Kuwait campus of Algonquin College will begin in 2014.The initial program offerings will be: A Foundation Year, Business Accounting, Business Marketing, Computer Programmer and Computer Systems Technician. The International Education Centre in Ottawa will be recruiting a number of Administrative Staff as well as the faculty required to teach these programs in Kuwait.
