An Outage is when a service or system is completely or partially unavailable for a time. It may be a planned outage for maintenance or and unforeseen incident resulting from a component failure or other unforeseen cause.
The Outage Communication system, or CAOS, is displayed on the Algonquin College ITS website. Here students, faculty, and staff can easily identify Unplanned, Emergency, and Planned outages. Users can view the outage communications by clicking on the link to them. Here the user can view information about the outage and when the system should be back online.
