Hello,
In early June 2012, Windows Live rolled out enhanced security requirements impacting Live@edu end users. The enhanced security requirements have been deployed for all Windows Live services. We apologize for the late notice and any potential confusion to your <clients>.
The enhanced security requirements include two primary adjustments: |
The secondary authentication requirements are either an alternate e-mail address, phone number or trusted PC. Users will be prompted for enhanced security at sign in to any Windows Live service. Users will not be prompted if using Microsoft Office Outlook or a mobile device. In certain situations, an end user may be prompted to change their password if it is not a strong password . A strong password contains 7-16 characters, does not include common words or names, and combines uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Live@edu recommends that end users have a strong password.
Thank you for reading this important notification.
Regards,
The Live@edu team |
