Creating the Account - When you enroll in a course that requires network access, an IT fee is added to your tuition and a network account is created. If you want a network account and are not in one of these courses you may be able to opt-in and pay the IT fee to get an account. You will have this same username as long as you enrolled at the college. If you need assistance visit one of the Access Centers for assistance. (Woodroffe Campus - C102 or T201, other campuses may visit their resource centers)
NB There are a few courses that use special temporary accounts. You will be notified if this has been arranged for you. Your teacher will provide the username and password. Some services are not available with these special accounts.
- Deleting the Account - As soon as your course is over the account will be deleted. The following exceptions apply:
- If you withdraw from a course early the account will be deleted at that time
- If you are enrolled in a fulltime daytime program you may have access to your account during the summer vacation and for one semester after you graduate.
- Unfortunately, there is no way to keep the account beyond the normal deletion date. The account is deleted without notice and all associated data found on the various servers is deleted with it. Because of this it is advisable for you to do your own backups occasionally. If you need your data backed up you can visit the Publishing Centre at the Woodroffe campus.

Changing Your Network Password
When you want to use a computer in the college, turn it on and enter your username and password. You are now logging onto the NT Network. Make sure the domain shows your location (Woodroffe if you are a Woodroffe staff or student). You must be authenticated by this governing network in order to connect to many of the other systems and services including the computer itself.
How to Change your NT Network Password
- You can change the NT network password in Windows XP by pressing the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys at the same time. This will bring up a dialog box with several buttons.
- Select the Change Password button in the bottom left corner.
- Enter your username, campus, old password and enter the new password twice.
- In earlier versions of Windows you must go into Control Panel.
- Click on the Start button in the bottom left corner of the desktop then Settings, and Control Panel..
Forgot your NT Network password?
- Students can go to ACSIS to view their username and pin number. Staff and students can visit the ITS Help Desk in Room C316 to have their password reset. They must have an official photo ID with them.
