| Starting Installation |
- To start, point your browser to:
http://vcitrixweb-1.ottawa.ad.algonquincollege.com
This is the login page. To login, use your Algonquin College NT username and password (same as Windows logon).
- Before logging in, check the message center panel to the right. This panel will tell you if
there are any errors. At this point, if you have never installed the plugin, you should see
a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and a message which reads:
"You do not have the MetaFrame Presentation Server Client (Plugin) for 32-bit Windows installed
on your system. You must install the client to launch applications."

| Downloading the Citrix MetaFrame plugin |
- We must now install the Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server Client for 32-bit Windows. To do this,
click on the MetaFrame Presentation Server Client link. This will open a window asking if you'd
like to save or run a file called ica32t.exe.
- To continue, either save the file to your hard drive and run it from there or choose the option to run
it directly from this window.
- The file will now download. If you chose to run the file, it will start automatically, otherwise
you will have to browse to the file and run it manually.

| Installing the Citrix MetaFrame plugin |
- Once the file has downloaded and started running, you will see a security warning from windows. It
will look slightly different if you chose to run the file manually but with either choice, please choose
Run.
- You will then see an installation dialogue for a few seconds
- followed by a dialogue box asking you to install the MetaFrame application. Please choose Yes to continue.
- You can then read the license agreement. Once you have finished, please click Yes to accept the
license agreement and continue installation.
- The setup utility will then copy the necessary files to the hard drive and complete the installation.
This may take a minute.
- Once this has finished, a dialogue box will appear telling you that the
installation is complete and that you may have to restart your browser. To continue, simply
click Ok and restart your browser.
