Communications Suite - Outlook Calendar - Getting Started
Accessing the Microsoft 2003 Calendar
  • Launch Microsoft Outlook 2003 Outlook Icon
  • By default, Microsoft Outlook 2003 will launch either into your email or your Outlook Today screen, depending on how you have set up your preferences
  • Depending on how you’ve set up your view, either click on the Calendar button (see Figure 1) or on the Calendar icon (see Figure 2) – they would both be located on the bottom, left-hand side of your Outlook

  • Your Outlook 2003 Calendar appears (see Figure 3)

The Outlook 2003 Calendar Interface
  • Depending on how your Outlook Calendar is set up, your Outlook 2003 Calendar Interface would look similar to the following (see Figure 3):

  • Menu Bar – Common to all Microsoft applications, the menu bar allows you to perform common tasks like cut, copy, paste, change the font, etc.
  • Standard Toolbar –Shortcuts to some of the items available in the Menu Bar appear here. The Standard Toolbar is customizable.
  • Mini Calendar – Allows you to view the current month (by default) or any other month in its entirety.
  • Calendar List – Let’s you select a calendar or multiple calendars to view.
  • Navigation Pane – Allows you to navigate between Outlook E-mail, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes.
  • Calendar Grid – Displays a more detailed view of your calendar(s).
