Why do you want to connect from home?

Some College systems require it. Some don't. For example, you can connect to Blackboard from home and log in using any provider or connection method. No trouble, nothing else needed.

Other College systems want to know who you are before you can even get close to the system. For example posting your web pages. You must authenticate to the College network before it will let you see the web server. This is done by using algonquin Secure or VPN through your high speed provider.
