Fax From Your Computer
The College’s Ricoh devices allow you to fax your document from your computer. (In some circles, this is referred to a “print to fax”.) Faxing from your computer eliminates the step of first printing the document and then scanning it at the fax machine. This is a green alternative since it removes the need to print the document.
- First: Setup your fax driver - Required one time only.
- Second: Use the fax service - below
Using the "Fax From Your Computer" Function
With the driver installed, you can begin using this print-to-fax service. Note that no code is necessary when faxing from your computer. Simply proceed as you would when you are going to print a document. However, you will be presented with a list of options. Here are the steps in more detail.
Step 1: Open the desired document as you usually do in Word, IE, Outlook or any other program.
Step 2: When ready, go to the print option and select the wo-mdf-fax-pool "printer" from the drop down box and click OK .
