There is no charge for making local calls. Dial 9 and the telephone number.

Long Distance
Long Distance is available through the use of pre-assigned Residence codes (PIN) or through the use of calling cards or pre-paid long distance cards.
How to obtain your long distance PIN
You may sign up for long distance calling by mailing in the request forms included with your Residence information package. You may also sign up when you first arrive at the Residence or sign up or cancel your long distance service by making your request at any time to the CLC front desk.
When making your request, please be sure to include your Student # and extension.
- For your long distance service you may request the following:
- Only long distance calling within North America
- Long distance for International calling (includes North America).
- Please indicate your preference on the sign up form
- Under special circumstances PIN codes will be assigned to to long term hotel guests.
- Please check with the CLC Front Desk to apply for your Residence PIN code.
- To view your long distance charges
- While connected to the College network you can check your phone bills at: http://avotus/avotus
- Your username is your student number (no spaces)
- Your password is your long distance PIN
- Once logged in click on the Applications link at the top right of the web page
- From the drop down list select My Reports. Expand the Corporate Reports and click on the Account Code Detail with Extension link
- Your will see your phone bill for the current month. (Up to yesterday.)
- To change your password select the Options menu at the top right of the web page and click on the Change Password link at the left hand side of the page.

- How to Use Your Pin Code
- Dial extension 4950.
- Follow the prompts for entering your PIN code and for dialling your long distance number.
- When prompted for the long distance number enter one of the following:
For North America: 8+1+Area Code + Local Number (ex:8-1-995-9999999)
For overseas: 8+011+country code + city code + local number
