NB: This is a service your phone needs to subscribe to. All new phone installations automatically subscribe to this service.

  • To use this service
    • Press the Services button on your phone
    • Scroll to the College Directory or press the corresponding menu # to select it
    • Press the Select softkey
    • Press the Select softkey again when Corporate Directory is displayed
    • Search by firstname or lastname or by phone number by using the keypad. The search is not case sensitive.
    • When a list of names is displayed matching your search, scroll to the persons name you are searching for and press the Dial softkey, or lift the handset which will cause the number to be dialed for you.

Making a call from the directory

The Cisco IP Phone 7960 keeps a history of all calls you make and receive, including the caller ID, time, and date of the call. You can use this information to redial a party.

  • The steps are:
    • Press the directories button.
    • Use the scroll key to select the desired call history option: Missed Calls, Received Calls, or Placed Calls.
    • Press the Select soft key to display the call history list.
    • If desired, press the Dial soft key to speed dial a number from the call history list or pick up your handset to automatically dial the number.

    Note You might need to use the EditDial soft key to add digits to the front of the number.

      • When you are finished, press the Exit soft key twice to exit the Directory menu.
