Change ring tone
  • The steps are:
    • Press the settings button.
    • Use the scroll key to scroll to the Ring Type option on the Settings Menu.
    • Press Settings button.
    • Using either the scroll key to scroll to the Ring Types option or press the number 2 to select Ring Type.
    • Select either the default ring (same ring for all configured extensions) or select your extension using the scroll key or press the number indicated beside your extension.
    • Press the Select soft key to display the list of ring types.
    • Use the scroll key to select a ring type.
    • Press the Play soft key to hear a sample of the selected ring type.
    • Press Select and then press the OK soft key to save your selection.
    • Press the Save soft key to save your selection and exit the Directory menu.

Change the volume
  • The steps are:
    • Press the up or down volume key to increase or decrease the volume of your handset, headset or speakerphone.
    • To save the volume setting, press the settings button and then press the Save soft key. (If you do not save the volume setting, the new volume setting is not retained for the next call).

Setup speed dial

From inside the College, use your web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer) to go to the following URL: http://speeddial.algonquincollege.com/ccmuser/

Your login ID is the same as your network ID (up to 8 letters) and the password is abcde. We strongly suggest you change your password immediately. Note that this password is not synchronized with your login account at this time.

  • The steps are:
    • Use the drop down list to select a "device or device profile to configure".
    • Your options will be displayed. If there is more than one option, select the MAC address of the phone or profile name you would like to configure.
    • Select Add/Update Your Speed Dials.

For external numbers enter 9 before the rest of the telephone number.

When you have finished setting up your speed dial options, click Update and then Log Off

  • To Access your Speeddials Either:
    • Press the button next to your Config Speeddial
    • Or dial the two digit number that corresponds with your configured speeddial. As you dial the two digit number a softkey button displays AbbrDial. Press this key once you have keyed in your speeddial number.
