Telephone Auto Attendant            specs    faq    glossary

The College auto attendant is now speech-enabled. Woodroffe, and soon Perth, callers can connect to the system by pressing "0" on an internal College phone. External callers can dial 613-727-4723 and will get the standard College greeting followed by the Auto Attendant greeting. This will direct callers to connect with staff and faculty, or even a department, using only the caller's voice. The Auto Attendant system answers the call, matches the caller's verbal request to an entry in the directory, and then connects the call accordingly.

Tip: You can just say "Voicemail" to go to your voicemail account instead of dialing ext 1400+*
         Note: you must wait for the connection before pressing the * , perhaps 3 seconds.

Please note:

  • At this point we are applying this system to Woodroffe and Perth campus, Pembroke will be included but no timeline has been set.
  • You can still dial the phone number rather than use speech if you prefer.
