OTHER INTERESTING LINKS

JOURNALS/LOCAL LIBRARY ACCESS

  • Libraries
    Catalogues for Local libraries (CMHC and CISTI included)
    CMHC : Students may visit the CMHC library during business hours to view the collection. To borrow from the collection students must make their request through the Algonquin LRC. Direct borrowing from CMHC is not permitted. 
  • The National Capital Sm@rtLibrary lending partners include University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Ottawa Public Library, and Dominican College University. To borrow from any of these libraries please obtain a SmartLibrary membership card at the Algonquin College Learning Resource Centre main desk.  Any materials borrowed from these libraries should be returned directly to the lending library on the indicated due date.

    CISTI: Students may visit the CISTI library during business hours to view the collection. A letter of introduction available from the Algonquin LRC is required if a student wishes to borrow from CISTI during their visit. An Algonquin student is permitted to borrow 3 items from the circulating collection. After a student has borrowed 3 items they will be charged $10.00 per document requested, plus tax.

    Algonquin's LRC has agreements with Ontario Colleges as well as other local libraries for direct borrowing. For further information please consult our page on Inter-library Loans and Direct Borrowing.
