ABC - Aligning and Building Curriculum

This Eastern Region curriculum development program helps participants to develop skills to take a leadership role in program review and new program development at their colleges.

It includes two residential components and interim activities that are supported through peer collaboration. The first residential session typically takes place in the Fall while residential session two occurs in the Spring.

This spring's Residential Session II is scheduled for May 28 - 30.

Intended Audience

Faculty members with at least 3-5 years of college teaching experience who are comfortable with content.  The attendee would be in a position to take the lead role in curriculum and program review after completion of this program.

Testimonial

"The ABC conference was really invigorating and challenged a lot of my assumptions. Some really basic questions blew my mind like how do I order my content and why? Houghton-Mifflin and Thompson Nelson (or text book publishers in general)had been determining the order and emphasis of my content in a way that I had not been challenging. By revisiting the learning outcomes and anchoring my approach there rather than on available resources, I felt more freedom and flexibility in my teaching plans rather than less."
