Technology in Teaching

technology in teaching"I'll take that learning content "to go" please."

Mobile technology makes it very convenient for us to function on-the-go. We have access to people and information wherever we are. Five minutes away from home, we can call our significant other and ask them to "warm up the pasta sauce". Walking through the hall, students can call a friend in the computer lab to see if the group assignment is done printing.

Perhaps it is a natural transition to extend this on-demand expectation to learning?

Podcasting is just one of these technologies that allows us to take information with us, or access it from where we choose.

This feature includes a series about podcasting and how it has been used by the School of Business.

It also includes a short article about audio-visual materials that are available at the Learning Resource Centre.
