Blackboard Grade to Letter Conversions:
The Bad News...then the Good News!

The Bad News
When the new courses were created for the 08W semester, a problem occurred partway through the process. This issue caused the grade to letter equivalent to be incorrect in the majority of courses.
This Gradebook problem is only of concern if you enter grades, then choose to display those grades as a letters. It does not cause the gradebook to make incorrect calculations; it will only display the wrong letter if your course is one of those affected.
At that time, it was not possible for us to correct the problem in affected courses.
The Good News
Blackboard's conversion chart has now been updated so that any new course created will have the correct letter equivalents.
