learning spaceExpansion Proposal Affirms Commitment to Active Learning

Expansion plans for Algonquin College will enable the Woodroffe, Pembroke and Perth campuses to accomodate more students. Currently, the College can only accommodate 1/6 of the applications that it currently receives.

Aimed at increasing the depth of learning, the retention of understanding and the development of learning skills, our dual commitment to the application of theory and practice is the root of Algonquin College’s success. (Building the Skilled Workforce of Tomorrow web site).

The Woodroffe Campus expansion will provide 2,600 additional student spaces, of which many will focus on the education of construction and health care professionals in Ontario.

Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley (Pembroke) expansion plans involve building Renaissance Square, an 80,000 square foot facility near the waterfront, which will serve as a new campus. This facility will increase the number of full student spaces at this campus to 300.

The Perth Campus expansion will involve the reconfiguration and revamping of facilities to an enable an increase of 100 new students per semester.
