At the Learning Resource Centres (LRC) an Algonquin student/faculty card can get you more than photocopies and database access. It can be the key to numerous National Capital Area Libraries.
The Sm@rtLibrary partnership includes the following libraries:
- Algonquin College
- University of Ottawa
- Carleton University
- CISTI
- Ottawa Public Library
- Library and Archives Canada
- Canadian Museum of Civilization
- Dominican University College
- Canadian War Museum
This partnership not only permits you to search several National Capital Library Catalogues at once, but it also allows direct borrowing of materials from lending partner libraries.
If you are a card holder in good standing at any Algonquin LRC location and would like to borrow from a Sm@rtLibrary partner, go to your LRC location to receive your Sm@rtLibrary card.
Since September over 120 Algonquin library users have taken advantage of this opportunity to use some of our region’s great resources.
