Current Trends in Assessment

There have been many changes in the approach to assessment in the last 15 years. Moving from a behaviourist to a cognitivist, and then to a constructivist approach to evaluating learning, student assessment now is much less test-driven and more based on evaluating learner performance on authentic kinds of activities.
