Managing Experiential Learning Environments: Clinical Settings, Workplace Environments and Simulations Most of our college students engage in learning experiences in authentic settings, particularly learning experiences that take place in the lab, on work placement, or in a clinical setting. Algonquin College is a leader, in fact, in the use of simulated authentic workplace settings; note that some of our professors will be publishing in this area soon!David Kolb on Experiential Learning is a good place to begin as he is an early leader in the field. This article, enhanced by a number of graphics, is very readable.
