Student Experience

What to Expect

Learn hands-on in our TV studio.

Students in the Broadcasting – Television and Streaming Video program at Algonquin College get hands-on experience in our on-site television studio, with some projects completed outside of class hours on evenings and weekends. Through project work, students get the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of television, including as camera operators, hosts, anchors, editors, producers and directors.

This is a mobile learning program which engages students in a collaborative, eLearning environment which will help them become skilled, confident users of the kinds of technology they are expected to use in the workplace. Students are required to supply and use a mobile learning device that meets minimum hardware and software specifications.
