Graduate Certificate
This exciting one year graduate certificate program will suit those looking for a career advantage in fields such as: Journalism, Photography, Advertising, Professional Writing, Business, Project Management, Print Media, Publishing and more. As a result of the increase in online publishing, it will also appeal to those working in related industries.

Employment Opportunities
This program will prepare graduates with the skills and training to work in various industries such as: Design Firms, Online Newspapers and Magazines, Advertising Agencies, Government Departments, Publishing Bureaus and Educational Institutes. Employment opportunies may include: online document specialist, web site designer, online editor, web project manager, digital compositor, production administrator, content writer, dynamic programmer and electronic publisher. Graduates may also work on a self-employed basis to produce their own web-based and electronic publications.

Program Delivery
To accommodate working students, the program is offered on Saturdays and weekday evenings over two semesters, each 15 weeks in length. The 21 course hours per week will be offered via a combination of in-class and online delivery. The program begins September 2008.

Fees & Admissions

Tuition Fee is $1,500.00 per term.


Students in this program must be graduates of a two year community college diploma, (minimum) or equivalent. Applicants with University credits or applicants with at least 2 years related work experience maybe considered on an individual basis by submitting a detailed resumé. Experience in a Windows or Macintosh environment is highly recommended.

Laptop Program

Please note that e-Publishing is a laptop program. Students must purchase their own laptop computer and software. Computers and supplies can be purchased directly from the campus bookstore at educational discounted rates.
