Don Laflamme
Coordinator

A graduate of Queen’s University, Don teaches directing, contemporary scene study and produces the play seasons at Algonquin College. He also works as co-artistic director of Chamber Theatre Hintonburg, a professional Ottawa theatre company that specializes in the creation of theatre in non-traditional venues and the development of new audiences. Recent directing includes Danny and the Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley. This production was nominated for two 2008 Rideau Awards in the categories of best Director and best Production. Recent acting includes Eddie Carbone in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge. Don has worked with many companies including Seven-Thirty Productions, Third Wall Theatre Co., and the Ottawa International Writer’s Festival. Other areas of expertise include scenic design/construction and many construction trades that enable him to restore antique domiciles. Don is a member of Canadian Actor's Equity Association.

Lynn Cox
Lynn has been a member of Ottawa’s professional theatre community for the past 16 years. She has worked extensively in many areas of the field including: producing, direction, stage management, technical direction, scenic painting, lighting design, set design and makeup.

Lynn worked with the National Arts Centre Theatre and Atelier for over seven years in a variety of positions, but primarily as a director, designer, scenic painter technician. She has also worked with the Great Canadian Theatre Company on numerous shows. Lynn works in both official languages as a designer and has done the lighting for many shows by Théâtre de la Catapulte at the Nouvelle Scène.

For many years Lynn was the Technical Coordinator of the Arts Court Theatre, while also working as a professor of Technical Theatre and Design at the University of Ottawa and Memorial University in Newfoundland. She recently joined the Algonquin College Theatre Arts program. After completing a B.A. Honours in Theatre at the University of Ottawa, she returned to complete a second degree in Education. Lynn is a member of Canadian Actors Equity and works with IATSE as a scenic painter.

Teri Rata Loretto
   

Teri Rata Loretto

Teri holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Ottawa and is completing her MA in theory and dramaturgy (2010). Her thesis work in Canadian drama explores the theories of Northrop Frye and the plays of James Reaney. Teri is an award winning actor and director with an extensive training and performance resume. Companies worked for include: A Company of Fools, New Ottawa Repertory Theatre, Third Wall Theatre, Vision Theatre, Repercussion Theatre, The Caravan Stage Barge, SevenThirty Productions and Gladstone Productions. She has studied under Peter Froliech and Terry Tweed and has participates regularly in professional development workshops with the likes of Jillian Keiley, Daniel Mroz, John Strasberg and SoulPepper Theatre. Teri is a member of a writing and performance collective that recently won a writers grant from the Magnetic North Festival. Recent credits include Elizabeth the 1st in Dark Lady of the Sonnets, Mary in How the Other Half Loves for which she was nominated for a Best Performance (Female) Rideau Award and Shirley Valentine, a one woman show (May 2009). Teri has taught at public schools in the Ottawa region, Orleans Young Players and Theatre School and at the University of Ottawa. She is also professional singer, voice actor and the stand in weather person for CBC Ottawa Television and Radio. Teri is a member of ACTRA, Canadian Actor’s Equity and the Canadian Media Guild.

John Koensgen

John has been acting and directing for over 27 years. He has appeared in over 40 shows at the Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC), over 20 with the National Arts Centre and if you lump those in with all the other shows he’s been in, the total comes to over 90. He has been the Fight Director for well over 100 productions and has taught at the National Theatre School and Dawson College. Directing credits include: GCTC’s production of Girl in the Goldfish Bowl.



Mary Ellis    

Mary Ellis

Mary has worked extensively as an actor and teacher in Ottawa for many years, and has an Honours B.A. in Theatre from the University of Ottawa. Most recently she was seen in Doubt at The Gladstone Theatre. Other credits include Coma Unplugged at GCTC, Confessional with Ottawa Chamber Theatre at the Carleton Tavern, Top Girls with Third Wall Theatre, The Donahue Sisters and Melody (730 Productions), The Domino Heart (New Theatre of Ottawa), Albee, Pinter, Parker and Ball (Ottawa Chamber Theatre at the Cube Gallery), Life X 3, Relative Good, Girl in the Goldfish Bowl, and Better Living (all at GCTC). Mary also teaches in the Pre-Professional Program at OSSD. At Algonquin, Mary has directed Tina Howe’s Museum and George F. Walker’s Criminals in Love.

Scott is the artistic director of a Company of Fools, or, as he is more commonly called, the biggest Fool. A graduate of the Del’Arte School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, California, Scott is sought after as a performer and teacher all across Canada. He has travelled across North America by train, plane, sailing ship and automobile performing with such companies as Odyssey Theatre, Caravan Stage Barge Theatre Company, Eddie May Mysteries and the Canadian Improv Games.



Nick Di Gaetano
   

Nick Di Gaetano
A graduate of Ecole Philippe Gaulier (France), The International School of Comic Acting (Italy) and the University of Ottawa, Nick has studied internationally with Master Teachers Antonio Fava and Philippe Gaulier. Additionally, Nick has studied Canadian Clown with Sue Morrison (Toronto), Contact Improvisation with Peter Ryan (Ottawa) and Jesko Von Den Steinen (France) and acrobatics with Nicole Kehrberger and Thomas Tzeugin (France).

A co-creator of award-winning shows with Theatrophy (Formaldehyde, The Epoch of Coming and Going and Moribund), he has also worked across Canada and Internationally with Potato Theatre (France/UK), Aitherios Theatre (UK), A Company of Fools, Odyssey Theatre, The Great Canadian Theatre Company and the Magnetic North Theatre Festival. Nick is currently creating a solo clown show titled INCLEMENT WEATHER and a Cabaret rock concert for the theatre titled Tales From the Gasoline Coast - set to premier in March 2010. He has a great pleasure to play and is more than happy to look like an idiot
