Avoid Tickets

Top 10 tips to ensure you never receive a ticket:

  1. Licence plate information must be registered with Parking Services. Your registered licence plate provides access to your designated parking lot. You must have a valid payment made under this licence plate.
  2. Never park in a reserved space unless you have a valid permit for that area, or have been assigned that space by Parking Services.
  3. Never park in an accessible parking space unless you are displaying the proper Provincial accessible parking permit and an Algonquin accessible reserved space permit for the assigned space.
  4. If using the Pay and Display machine or Honk Mobile, please ensure that there is ample time purchased. You do not need to display your paper parking chit.
  5. Do not create your own parking space. Ensure you always park between the lines.
  6. Upon entering any parking area, please read the posted signs at the entrance.
  7. Visitors to Algonquin College may park in the Visitors’ parking lot, Lot 12 or the Park, Pay & Go lots after 5pm and on weekends.
  8. Please read the parking regulations (Link to rules and regulations) for your campus. This information will assist you and help you avoid getting parking tickets.
  9. If you lend your vehicle to someone, make sure they know where to park. You are responsible for all tickets issued to your vehicle.
