Get Ready to Play at the Pembroke Waterfront Campus!

Sports and Athletics are an important part of many students’ college experience. Our Pembroke Campus includes a gymnasium, fitness centre, and rock climbing wall. We also partner with the City of Pembroke to access municipal facilities to broaden the opportunity for our students to play sports.

Winter Term 2022

Q: Will the Fitness Zone be open in the Winter 2022 term?

The Students’ Association has implemented safety controls for your health and protection. The Fitness Zone will be open for student use by appointment Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. A limited number of drop-in sessions will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please contact the Student’s Association at 613-735-4700, ext. 2758 for availability and safety guidelines.

Q: Will the Gymnasium have intramural or open gym time?

At this time it is unsafe to have any sports with contact such as floor hockey, basketball, soccer. Students may use the equipment for no contact drills without gameplay. Sports such as Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis will be possible to play as normal with certain safety protocols. Students can use a variety of equipment safely during open gym time.

Q: Will I still be able to use the Rock Climbing Wall?

Yes, with rigid protocols the Rock Climbing Wall will be available for student use with reduced hours of operation. Students will have the use of touchless sanitizing stations before and after each climb with a consistent 2-meter separation. Just like all Students’ Association facilities, the Rock Climbing Wall will be fully sanitized by all-natural and skin safe disinfectant between each group use.
