Admissions Dates

The Admissions Department at Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley will assess your application and provide you with direction during the application process. The following are some key dates you should be aware of if you are planning to join us in the fall:

October The College begins receiving applications from the Ontario College Application Service. (www.ontariocolleges.ca)
November 1 Algonquin College begins making offers of admission to applicants. Many of these offers will be conditional based on high school students as well as mature applicants completing the necessary admission requirements.
February 1 This is the Equal Opportunity Deadline for applicants. Any applicant who applies before this deadline lessens the risk of being placed on a waitlist and ultimately not obtaining a seat in the program they are most interested in. Applicants who apply after February 1st are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on seat availability.
May 1 Applicants have until this date to confirm their offer of admission. They can do this online at www.ontariocolleges.ca Applicants who apply after May 1st will be asked to confirm within two weeks of receiving an offer of admission.
June 15 A $500 non-refundable tuition deposit for the fall term is due to the college. Students who have applied for a student loan should contact the College’s Financial Aid Department to inquire about a fee deferral.
