Urban Forestry – Arboriculture: Providing environmental, social and economic benefits in today’s society!

This is your first step to becoming an Arborist! An Arborist is trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees in urban settings for the purpose of improving the urban environment. Arborists are knowledgeable about the needs of trees and are trained and equipped to provide proper care whether through planning the care for a tree, pruning, removing limbs or climbing individual trees or shrubs that includes vegetation in the proximity of buildings and electrical transmission corridors.

Trees improve air quality, reduce noise and energy consumption, provide habitat for wild life, beautify the landscape and increase property value. It is the role of professional arborists to ensure the prosperity of this critical resource.
